Frequently Asked Questions
Do signers need an account to sign the documents I send them via SequrSign?
No, signers do not need an account or a subscription to sign the documents you send them via SequrSign. Every document is sent to the signers in an email containing an exclusive signing link that allows them to access, view, and digitally sign the documents.
What happens when the free credits are exhausted?
After free credits are exhausted, if you have not upgraded to a paid plan, you will be automatically moved to the Free plan, with all your data intact. You can then purchase our plans at any time.
Whom should I contact for sales-related help?
For questions about pricing or plans, send us a message from the Contact page and our sales team will get back to you.
How does the signing process work?
Upload your document, add the people who need to sign, and SequrSign emails each signer a secure, exclusive link. Signers open the link, review the document, and apply their signature — no account or download required on their end.
What file formats are supported?
SequrSign accepts PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, PNG, JPG, and JPEG files for signing. Everything is converted to PDF before it goes out for signature.
Can more than one person sign a single document?
Yes — a document can be sent to multiple recipients, each with their own signing link. You can let everyone sign in parallel, or require a set order so each signer only gets their turn once the previous one has finished.
What does it cost to send a document for signature?
Each signature request uses 5 credit points and each identity verification uses 1 credit point. Credits are bought in packs starting at $1, and new accounts start with 15 free credits, so you can try the full product before paying anything.
Do I need a subscription?
No. SequrSign is pay-as-you-sign: you buy credit packs when you need them, and each pack is valid for the period shown on the pricing page. There is no monthly fee and no contract to cancel.
How do I delete a document or my account?
Send the request from the Contact page and we'll take care of it.
Questions we're still finalising
How long are documents stored on SequrSign's servers?
The retention period is still being confirmed by our team. In the meantime we recommend downloading and keeping your own copy of a completed document rather than relying on indefinite server-side retention. Ask us via the Contact page if you need a firm answer for a specific document.
Can SequrSign staff access the content of my documents?
Our access policy is still being confirmed by the team — ask via the Contact page and we'll answer directly.
Is SequrSign legally valid for my use case?
See our Disclaimer for the platform's position on legal validity. Whether an electronic signature is sufficient for a particular document type in a particular jurisdiction is a question for your own counsel, and not one we can answer for you.
What happens if a signer disputes a signature?
The formal dispute process is still being confirmed by the team. What exists today is the audit trail: the document's SHA-256 fingerprint, and the record of when each signer opened and signed their link. Contact us and we'll work through the specifics with you.
